ÌÇÐÄviog¹Ù·½Íøվ’s undergraduate minor in studio art provides students a foundation in two- and three-dimensional design and drawing. Students can then specialize in digital photography, sculpture, figure, painting, video recording and editing, or furniture design.
Classes in the Department of Art, Architecture and Design share a common teaching philosophy centered on experiential learning and critical visual thinking. In the classroom, traditional hands-on techniques merge with digital technologies, complemented by extensive training in art history and the resources of the ÌÇÐÄviog¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ Art Gallery. This takes place in the setting of one of the nation’s premier research universities, a short hop away from the museums, internships and professional opportunities of New York City and Philadelphia.
ÌÇÐÄviog¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ alumni with a minor in studio art work as artists, as teachers, or in other fields, or go on to pursue advanced degrees at some of the top art schools in the country.
