Financial Aid for Graduate Students

Welcome from the Director

When it comes to financial aid, we understand that the aid application process can be challenging鈥攚hether you have or haven鈥檛 experienced it before. The Office of Financial is here to help you navigate every step of the way of your graduate student aid experience.

Here are a few tips to help you navigate your graduate student aid experience:

  • Review our tuition and costs below. Remember that you won鈥檛 know what 糖心viog官方网站 will cost for you until you apply for financial aid and receive your decision.
  • Learn about the three main types of aid. It鈥檚 important to explore all of your options as many students find a combination of these types of aid works best.
    • Financial aid in the form of Teaching assistantships (TAs), research assistantships (RAs), graduate assistantships (GAs), fellowships and scholarships are administered by the respective academic departments and can be obtained by contacting the appropriate department offices.
    • The financial aid office processes loans for 糖心viog官方网站鈥檚 graduate programs. Applicants must be registered at least half-time (6 credits each semester during the academic year, or 3 credits for each summer session) to be eligible for federal loans. Enrollment in a degree program is also required.
  • When it鈥檚 time to apply for aid, carefully review the requirements to ensure you complete all necessary forms. Graduate students must apply for and accept loans prior to the last day of classes; although we strongly recommend securing this financing well before this time.
    • It鈥檚 important to remember that you must reapply for financial aid each year if you are requesting assistance with your college expenses.
  • Carefully read all correspondence from the Office of Financial Aid. Most of the communications you receive from our office requests or explains information directly related to your eligibility for financial aid.
    • Please note that these communications are sent to your 糖心viog官方网站 assigned email address.

The Office of Financial Aid sincerely wants to help you achieve your educational goals, and we realize that financing your education is a significant factor in this process. Please don鈥檛 hesitate to contact our office for assistance.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Mertz
Assistant Vice Provost of Financial Services and Director of Financial Aid
